SIEM REAP 2NIGHTS/3DAYS
DAY 1: ARRIVAL - SIEM REAP
Arrive at Siem Reap International Airport, welcomed by our tour guide and transferred to check into the hotel.
In the afternoon, visit CHHONG KNIES, one of the natural tourist attractions and a mangrove area home to hundreds of freshwater fish and bird species, adorned with ethnic stilted houses lining the water surface all the way up to the sky. The villages are primarily Khmer and have around 3,000 inhabitants between them, most of whom live in stilted houses. The people rely heavily on fishing and tourism for their income. We board a traditional wooden boat through the flooded forests of THE GREAT TONLE SAP LAKE, habitat of many bird species; this journey will take us to Chong Kneas. This incredible floating village is built on stilts that rise 8 to 10 meters high. We visit an island pagoda, a school, and traditional stilted houses to interact with the local families. Return to Siem Reap for refreshments.
