Trujillo Arqueological Full Day Tour

Spend a full day exploring the archaeological treasures of Trujillo on a tour that connects you with the history and culture of northern Peru. The adventure kicks off at Huaca Esmeralda, a Chimú temple with adobe walls decorated with geometric reliefs. We keep going to the Huaca Arco Iris or Huaca del Dragón, a ceremonial site that amazes with its colorful murals all about fertility and nature. Next, we'll check out the Chan Chan Site Museum, which has original pieces from the mud city's digs. After that, we'll explore the awesome Nik An Palace inside the Great Citadel of Chan Chan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The route continues to the traditional seaside resort of Huanchaco, where you'll have free time to have lunch by the sea and snap some photos of the famous totora horses, a thousand-year-old legacy of the ancient Mochicas. In the afternoon, we'll head to the Huacas de Moche Museum, which showcases ceramics, offerings, and artifacts unearthed during excavations. After that, we'll check out the Huaca del Sol and Huaca de la Luna, these Moche culture ceremonial complexes are famous for their colorful murals and stunning adobe architecture. Finally, we'll check out the unique Paseo de la Fertilidad, a cultural space that showcases a collection of replicas of erotic Mochica huacos, a symbol of the ancestral worldview linked to fertility and life. With an official tour guide, transportation, and tickets included, this full day offers a unique experience that mixes archaeology, living culture, and tradition at every stop. This is a Pool Tour or a tour in group and it is only available from tuesday to Sunday because all tourist attractions in Trujillo close on Mondays.
