Day 1: Kigali City Tour – Transfer to Akagera – Lake Ihema Boat Cruise
Your adventure begins early with a Kigali city tour, visiting the Genocide Memorial, local markets, and art galleries. En route to Akagera, stop at Nyakarambi Village to witness the traditional cow dung paintings created by the Kakira Women’s Cooperative.
Arrive at Akagera National Park, check into your lodge, and enjoy a peaceful boat cruise on Lake Ihema, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and waterbirds.
Day 2: Morning & Night Game Drives
Start your day with a sunrise game drive, exploring Akagera’s rolling hills and open plains. Spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, lions and rhinos,.... Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild and relax at your lodge in the afternoon.
As dusk falls, embark on an exciting night game drive to search for leopards, hyenas, and other nocturnal creatures.
Day 3: Final Game Drive – Return to Kigali
After breakfast, enjoy one last morning game drive to capture any missed wildlife sightings. Later, drive back to Kigali with optional cultural or market stopovers along the way.
