In Lanquin, a lot of cacao is cultivated, so today you’ll visit a special project! This local community project is unique, encompassing many small sustainable initiatives in the village. One of these is the cacao tour, where you’ll get an up-close look at local farmers committed to sustainable agriculture through permaculture. The project provides employment opportunities, and farmers receive a fair price for their product. The project is located a 20-minute walk from the village of Lanquin, or you can take a tuk-tuk. The tour concludes with a visit to the kitchen, where you’ll make your own chocolate! A homemade vegetarian lunch is included as well. They also sell products for you to take home.

First, you will visit two different villages near Quetzaltenango, where you’ll explore a local market, a weaving cooperative. Then, it’s time to relax at the Fuentes Georginas hot springs. These springs are situated 16 km from Quetzaltenango, in a cloud forest. The area is known for significant volcanic activity, and these hot springs consist of natural sulfur baths heated by this volcanic activity. The surroundings are stunning, and the drive up through the mountains and past local fields is equally beautiful. The complex includes a simple yet good restaurant and lockers available for an additional deposit. Kan-Ba Caves + Semuc Champey tour - Full day

It features what’s called a natural land bridge stretching 500 meters, forming the spine of a series of cascading turquoise pools and tiny waterfalls that define Semuc Champey. You'll embark on a full-day tour beginning with an 8 km drive via 4x4 truck from Lanquin to Semuc Champey. Your first stop is visiting the Kan-Ba Caves—a submerged cave system explored with a guide while swimming, climbing, and sliding through them using just candles (optional). Afterward, explore Semuc Champey itself; trek to its scenic viewpoint or dive into one of its breathtaking turquoise pools. To unwind after such excitement, end your journey tubing along the river. Rio Dulce to Livingston + Playa Blanca + Siete Altares - Private Boat Tour

Rio Dulce is known for its flora, fauna, and river canyons, so today you’ll embark on a beautiful boat tour! Your private boat will pick you up at the hotel. During the river tour, you’ll pass a bird island, the San Felipe Castle, and see many local fishermen in their canoes, along with a variety of birds such as pelicans and other tropical species. In Livingston, the only village of the Garifuna community in Guatemala, the river flows into the Caribbean Sea. From there, you’ll head a bit north to visit Siete Altares, where you’ll wade through a series of waterfalls in the forest, and then continue to Playa Blanca. This is a stunning beach with white sand, palm trees, and freshly cooked fish. In the afternoon, the boat will take you back to the hotel. Included: Transportation and local guide. Not included: Entrance fees during the Rio Dulce tour (Q25 for the hot springs, Q20 for Siete Altares, and Q35 for Playa Blanca) per person.

Sunset at Temple IV tour Tikal National Park

As dusk settles in, we make our way back to Temple IV, which is the tallest temple in Tikal, where you'll be able to watch a breathtaking sunset. As you witness this spectacular event, notice how unique the setting sun appears compared to dawn—the lighting, ambiance, and view differ significantly yet remain equally mesmerizing. While sunsets may sometimes bring clouds or mist, sunrises usually offer clear visibility of the rising sun. What’s included? Round trip transportation (pickup available either in Flores or inside Tikal National Park) plus entrance fees for your guided visit and access to the evening spectacle.
